We plant flowers....

We plant flowers and we go back to school. Both are deferred gratification, commitments of work today for betterment, and in the base case, a start. We planted flowers in our garden and we look back on the two years since finishing grad school. We are better for it and happy we did it. We can just steadily water and keep learning through the newfound passion for reading.

Sometimes we have to DO ourselves into another way of feeling when we aren’t sure we are doing it right. We had faith in the flowers - we planted carefully. And we had faith in the studies - I was dutiful. But somehow we doubt. But doing bravely paid off. Now we are more self assured.

Leadership is often an unknown and unproven activity for us. We just need to do the WHATs of leadership bravely and learn the HOWs as we go!
